A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO POLITICS
Throughout the years, politics has evolved as a science and art. Not only that, but it is also known as a social activity wherein two or more persons communicate or interact. In a much more simpler definition, Politics is the search of resolution of conflicts through consensus and compromise.

POLITICS AS POWER
Since Power is considered as the currency of Politics, it is present and a vital element of regulating order.
KINDS OF POLITICAL POWER
1. HARD POWER
-refers to instruments of brute force and coercion, primarily military or economic.
2. SOFT POWER
-refers to attractive rather than coercive.

ORDER
Order is the desired or existing arrangement associated with the principles of the law.
STATE
State is a given territory that claims allegiance of a population that excercises monopoly on the legitimate use of coercive force.

GOVERNMENT
The government is composed of people and institutions who makes and implements the law for the community.
AUTHORITY
The right to exercise orders.
LEGITIMACY
It is authenticity when power is exercised through established institutions.
JUSTICE
It is often asking if the power is exercised fairly.
